Aloha Sailors!

Please sign up here if you are looking for a boat to sail/crew on. Now is a good time to get introduced to skippers and their crew if you are interested in racing next season.

If you are new to sailing, or only have a tiny bit of experience, please sign up here so that you can be found! Also check the Crew Wanted page. Weekly pau hana races are great opportunities to get to know skippers, boats and their current crew. Call your nearest Yacht Club, ask when the “pau hana” races are & how to find a ride- if you haven’t found one through this blog. BYOB (no glass please) and come on down!

As you might have heard, HYRA is planning on running four WAHINE regattas this year, so if you are a wahine sailor looking for wahine skipper to train for these races, please note that as well in your message. We encourage all skippers to let their women step up, take the helm on a Friday and/or let them run your boat/tactics! Great training opportunity!

mahalo!

Experienced dinghy crew (420's, FJ's, Vanguard 15) - raced in college for Coast Guard Academy. Has raced on J-22, J-24, J-35, Farr 40, and Nelson Marek 41 doing pit/jib trim for inshore and distance races. Raced at NYYC Yacht Club Race Week, Block Island Race Week, Around Block Island, Annapolis-Newport Race. Would love to be a wahine skipper and get more experience behind the helm!

My husband is also looking to crew, he is new to sailing but hes light/strong, a quick study, and a lot of fun! I'm trying to teach this rugby player that sailing can be a sport, and hes very enthusiastic about learning! :-)

It would be ideal if someone needs two crew for the price of one!! We are new members of Kaneohe Yacht Club.

This is an example!

My name is Christin Shacat and I am looking to crew on a boat. I have ~5 years of experience ranging from small boats like J/24, Impulse 21 to bigger boats like RP 44, ID35, Sydney 36, etc. I can run foredeck, trim, keyboard, and main.

Please contact me at 808.555.1234 or christin@volaresailing.com if I could join you during a pau hana race.

Thanks,
Christin
