We've got a phenomenal tool to assist interested women sailors in their bids to participate in the upcoming Road to Rolex Clinic.  Registration for the clinic may be found here.

Information regarding requests for funding assistance from Hawaii Sailing Foundation (HSF) is as follows:

HSF is proud to offer scholarships of $75.00 per participant for the first 20 local Hawaii female sailors who apply to us for assistance.  Application may be made by completing this fillable pdf form and emailing it to Dee Darby
In order to qualify for financial assistance applicant MUST be a current Hawaii resident or UH student registered to attend the 2011 Hawaii Road to Rolex clinic.  The application for assistance must be properly completed and signed.  If applicants are under 18 the application must also be signed by a parent or guardian.
Successful applicants will be notified via email and checks will be distributed to the applicant at the beginning of the clinic unless special request is made otherwise.

The Kane'ohe Yacht Club invites you to sail in paradise at our first Road to Rolex Womens' Clinic May 20-22, 2011. This clinic will be held on Kane'ohe Bay, on the windward side of O'ahu, Hawai'i, just 20 minutes from Honolulu, HI. Check in will start in the evening on May 20 and will be followed by boat rigging with volunteers on hand to assist. The winners of the short race series in the afternoon of May 22 will determine the clinic winner who receives a $200 credit toward her entry fee in the Rolex International Women’s Keelboat Championship (IWKC).  A debrief, reception, and aloha awards will close out the clinic.

Organized in preparation for US SAILING’s 2011 Rolex International Women’s Keelboat Championship, the Road to Rolex clinics facilitate the participation of women in sailboat racing; however, participants do not have to be attending the Rolex IWKC to join in the clinic.

The Road to Rolex Clinic is an all-women coaching and racing event that prepares women sailors to participate in Keel Boat Racing in general and to compete in the Rolex International Women's Championship which will be hosted by Rochester Yacht Club (NY) from August 27th through September 1st, 2011.

The club will provide the boats, so don't worry about bringing your boat from the mainland!  We will have an A fleet with teams of 5 people per J/24, with a possible option for a B fleet on Cal 20.

Head Coach

2010 Collegiate Sailor of the Year Allie Blecher will lead the clinic on O'ahu.

Participant Experience

Participants should have knowledge of tacking, gybing, mark roundings, spinnaker handling and sail trim.  However if you are unsure about flying a spinnaker - don't worry - there will be plenty of helping hands on the boat.
Participants who are under 18 at the time of the event will be required to have a signed parental/guardian waiver agreement.
All participants will be required to sign an event waiver.
